Some big retail brands often sell smaller systems for over £12,000, putting the technology out of reach for many.
By grouping household orders and buying directly from the manufacturer, we can offer the same high-quality technology for around a quarter of that price.
Each shipment has a fixed 'at-cost' price, which may vary slightly with exchange rates or shipping costs — but once you order, your price is locked in and guaranteed.
For peace of mind, all payments are held in a ring-fenced account and released to the manufacturer in two stages — every penny protected and accounted for.
Installation is arranged separately, through your own electrician or a Which?-approved installer, agreed between you and charged at cost. Naturally!

Do I need an electric vehicle to have a home battery?
No — You do not need an electric vehicle, and you don’t need solar panels either. A Battery Energy Storage System works perfectly well on its own.
All you need is a smart (time-of-use) tariff, now offered by almost all major UK suppliers. These tariffs provide cheaper electricity overnight.
Your battery stores that lower-cost energy while you sleep and uses it during the day, when rates are higher.

Switching is no different to moving to any other tariff. Just tell your supplier you have a home battery and want a smart, time-of-use plan — they’ll move you across.
Suppliers and government encourage this because using cheaper overnight electricity eases pressure on the grid. It’s also why battery storage qualifies for 0% VAT — policy supports wider adoption.
